Visiting Barcelona in a day is not an easy task, as it is a city with countless points of interest. However, if your time is limited you will be able to discover all the attractions of this wonderful city in just a few hours thanks to our route.

8:30h. Start your day with a delicious coffee at our reception, enjoy it and get your strength back in our #secretgarden.

9:00 There is nothing more traditional than having churros for breakfast at Xurreria Trebol located at Carrer Corsega 341, just a five-minute walk from your home in Barcelona. There you can choose the classic churros or one of the varieties filled with Nutella, dulce de leche... one won't be enough!

9:30 We head to Passeig de Gràcia, one of the busiest and most popular streets in Barcelona, where you'll feast your eyes on incredible modernist buildings such as La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. Plan your visit to any of the modernist buildings, we'll find and print your tickets at reception!

Enjoy the walk and the mix of unique architecture, luxury shops, bars and restaurants until you reach the emblematic Plaza Catalunya.

11:30 To make the most of the time we recommend the use of the tourist bus, in which you will be able to move much faster and specifically to the areas of greatest interest. We will take the blue line from the Plaza Catalunya stop, this is the time to see "Passeig de Gràcia from another perspective" and at the same time go to the emblematic Sagrada Familia.

12:00 Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, one of the most visited monuments in Spain is the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia, icon of the city and Antoni Gaudí's masterpiece. Its interior is one of the essential visits where you will really see Gaudí's genius reflected. It is important that you have purchased your tickets in advance, we reserve and print them for you at Reception!

13:30 After enjoying this architectural jewel, we recommend having a typical vermouth and tapas at Casa Mariol C/ Rosselló 442 Barcelona. Vermouth is the aperitif par excellence in Barcelona, a wine flavoured with herbs and spices to suit all tastes. We recommend accompanying it with a delicious cheese in oil or some incredible patatas bravas.

14:30 With our stomachs full, we take the Bus Turistic route from the Sagrada Familia stop to go to Park Güell, an emblematic work by Antoni Gaudí, a space full of gardens and architectural elements located in the upper part of the city, it is the most famous park in Barcelona!

It is a magical and peculiar place that always surprises its visitors. A day trip to Barcelona would never be complete without a stroll through Park Güell. The best views of the city can be had from the Calvario monument and the Plaza de la Naturaleza. Entrance to the monumental area is charged and there are long queues, so we recommend you buy your tickets in advance - always ask at reception, we can arrange it and print them out!

16:00 If you are a football lover, the time has come to visit the legendary Camp Nou, the largest stadium in Europe (99,354 spectators) and the third largest in the world. Here you can relive the history of more than 100 years of the world's most beloved sport. The guided tour can take about an hour where you will visit the changing rooms, you will follow the same route as the players to the pitch, you will see the boxes and press room and finish in the museum where you will see different trophies and personal objects of the great legends that have been part of the team throughout its history. 17:00 We will go from the Modernist Route to the Olympic Route; from Camp Nou we will take the tourist bus two more stops to change to the red line. You will be able to see Plaza España, one of the most important convergence points of the city with its imposing Venetian towers built for the Universal Exhibition of 1929.

You will also see the National Art Museum of Catalonia, also known by its acronym MNAC. The visit allows you to see the main buildings and monuments that make up the Barcelona skyline: from the Sagrada Familia in the Agbar Tower and the buildings of the Olympic Village, to the facilities that make up the Olympic Ring. Just 5 minutes away you will see the Olympic Stadium, the legendary venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 1992 Olympic Games.

At the top of the mountain of Montjuïc you will find Montjuic Castle. The privileged location allows you to enjoy unbeatable views over Barcelona and its surroundings. The terrace of the parade ground becomes a 360º viewpoint with views over the city, the port, the Mediterranean, the coast of Barcelona and the Baix Llobregat. After this tour you can take the bus back to the statue of Columbus.

19:00 From the Colom-Paseo Marítimo stop, walk along the central promenade of Las Ramblas, where you can enjoy the flower stalls and street performers. Just a few minutes away are the terraces of Plaça Reial, where you'll find a wide range of Mediterranean cuisine and can enjoy a fantastic aperitif or a traditional dinner. If you fancy dinner, we recommend the restaurant Les Quinze Nits for a traditional paella or the best Catalan food.

20:15 It's time to walk to La Rambla, 35 where you will find the Tablao Flamenco Cordobés; outstanding for its decoration inspired by the Nazarí art and its wonderful flamenco show. You can have a glass of cava, sangria or wine and enjoy the show peacefully, from reception we will help you choose the most suitable option for you to enjoy the whole experience!

21:30 This show will give you the energy you need to visit part of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter. The oldest part of the city and historic centre, it has small medieval alleyways, and you'll find trendy bars. On the way to the Pont del Bisbe, one of the most recognisable images of Barcelona, you'll also see the Ajuntament and Plaça Sant Jaume.

The majestic Barcelona Cathedral is just two minutes away.

22:30 It is time to return to your home in Barcelona, our Gracia Garden Boutique Hotel, to rest after a day enjoying and touring the wonderful city of Barcelona. You can walk back, take the metro or the V17 bus.
